Pasig City, Philippines - August 14, 2025 - On August 18, 2025, human resource leaders, sustainability advocates, and industry experts will gather at The Chardonnay by Astoria for the sustainABILITY HR Summit 2025: Greening the Workforce. This one-day event will explore how HR can drive sustainable transformation in organizations—aligning people strategies with environmental responsibility and the Green Jobs Act of 2016 (RA 10771).

Organized by the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation, in partnership with Environmental Compliance Consultants International Corp. (ECCI Corp.) and APEX Global, the forum will spotlight innovative approaches to integrating green skills into recruitment, training, workplace culture, and policy-making. Attendees will gain actionable insights on how to future-proof their workforce while advancing the nation’s climate and sustainability goals.

Mahesh Krishnamurthy, Director for Projects at ASSIST, emphasized the summit’s broader purpose:

“The HR Sustainability Summit aims to promote awareness and knowledge about sustainable employment opportunities in growth sectors. This event is part of a broader initiative to train youth in green skills and assist them in securing employment in expanding industries. The event seeks to foster collaboration between educational institutions, regulatory bodies, and employers to enable the transition to a greener, more sustainable economy. It aims to connect job seekers with employers in green industries, highlight the importance of environmentally friendly practices, and encourage the development of skills related to renewable energy, conservation, and sustainable development.”

The program will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and breakout sessions led by respected voices in human resources, sustainability, and policy, including keynote speakers from the government and employment sectors. It will also communicate ASSIST’s mission, vision, and goals as an organization while ensuring its visibility across initiatives, programs, and partnerships. Topics include embedding green competencies in workforce development, building sustainability-driven organizational cultures, and aligning HR policies with environmental and social impact goals.

By convening thought leaders and practitioners, the sustainABILITY HR Summit 2025 aims to inspire actionable change—transforming human resource departments into key drivers of a greener, more resilient economy.
