The Supreme Court of the Philippines has accredited Twala, a Philippine legal technology company, as an Electronic Notarization Facility (ENF), authorizing it to provide electronic notarization services nationwide under the Court's 2025 Rules on Electronic Notarization.

TAGUIG, PHILIPPINES - August 06, 2026 - The Supreme Court of the Philippines has accredited Twala, a Philippine legal technology company, as an Electronic Notarization Facility (ENF). The accreditation authorizes Twala to provide electronic notarization services nationwide under the Court's 2025 Rules on Electronic Notarization, marking a significant milestone in the country's transition toward legally recognized digital transactions.

Electronic notarization allows qualified documents to be notarized digitally under the Supreme Court's Rules, reducing the need for in-person appearances in eligible transactions while improving accessibility, efficiency, and security.

Contemplated under Philippine law since the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000, electronic notarization gained its operational framework through the Supreme Court's 2025 Rules. Twala's accreditation is among the first practical implementations of that framework.

Twala's platform combines digital signatures, electronic notarization, identity verification, and AI-powered document lifecycle management. Built on blockchain and public key infrastructure (PKI), Twala enables tamper-evident, cryptographically verifiable digital transactions for high-trust use cases across the government, legal, enterprise, and financial sectors.

Twala recently partnered with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) to empower over 50,000 lawyers nationwide with electronic signatures, electronic notarization, and other digital legal tools. It also partnered with the Land Registration Authority (LRA) on a webinar on electronic notarization that drew more than 800 attendees from the real estate, finance, government, legal, and business sectors.

Beyond electronic notarization, Twala continues expanding its intelligent document platform through Twala AI, which enables organizations to generate, review, summarize, classify, and extract information from legal and business documents. Twala AI also includes a legal research tool trained on more than 200,000 documents, including statutes, jurisprudence, memorandums, and circulars.

"This accreditation represents an important milestone not only for Twala, but for the broader digital transformation of legal services in the Philippines. We are honored by the Supreme Court's accreditation and remain committed to building secure, compliant, and accessible digital trust infrastructure," said Jeffrey Reyes, Co-Founder and CEO of Twala.

"eNotarization completes the legal foundation for end-to-end digital transactions in the Philippines," said Atty. Herminio "Third" Bagro III, Co-Founder and General Counsel of Twala. "For decades, the final requirement for many important transactions was still a wet signature and physical notarization. The Supreme Court's eNotary framework removes one of the last barriers to full digitalization. It will make transacting with government and businesses faster, more secure, and more convenient, while strengthening trust in digital services."

Twala expects electronic notarization to play a growing role in digital commerce, legal practice, government services, and financial transactions as adoption of trusted digital identity technologies expands across the Philippines.
