Global startup community PROTOCOL partners with MIZU DAO to jointly support the development of Web3 ecosystem in Asia

PROTOCOL, a global startup community founded by Japanese soccer star Keisuke Honda announces partnership with MIZU DAO, the community-centric DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) to jointly support the development of Web3 environment in Asia, investing in Web3 projects globally.

Currently, Web3 is attracting a great deal of attention from entrepreneurs, investors, and anyone involved with the Internet around the globe, defining the next generation of the decentralized web using blockchain technology. Based on this global interest and the potential in Web3, PROTOCOL has teamed up with MIZU DAO to speed up the development in Web3 space, providing builders with various types of professional support.

PROTOCOL is a social platform for startups, VCs, angels, accelerators, big corporates and job-seekers, known as “AngelList of Asia” or “LinkedIn for startups”. Users can follow each other, send messages and post latest news articles. As the largest social media for startups in Japan with the biggest number of users, it has been supporting people across 58 countries, especially in Asia. It’s particularly focusing on accelerating matching for Web3 projects through pitch events, videos and articles. It’s expected that these efforts are further strengthened by the collaboration this time with MIZU DAO - a Web3-focused venture capital, developing the Web3 "D3D Meta" platform for the creator economy. By sharing the same vision, they will boost the Web3 ecosystem in Asia.

Through this partnership, PROTOCOL and MIZU DAO will co-invest in Web3 projects based in Singapore. PROTOCOL will be responsible for sourcing and financing, leveraging Chairman Keisuke Honda's strong network of Web3 entrepreneurs and investors in Asia, while MIZU DAO, as a Web3 venture capital DAO, is going to manage the fund, execute deals and incubate projects, maximizing a wealth of knowledge in Web3 space and a talented team of professionals specialized in investment process.

Specifically, they will implement the following 3 strategies:

1. PROTOCOL members are joining MIZU DAO
With members of PROTOCOL becoming stakeholders in MIZU DAO, the values, goals, and vision of both companies are shared, building a community-based partnership. The joint operation of the community will integrate both users, distribute MIZU DAO NFTs to PROTOCOL members, and create a strong, stable and rigid structure for Web3 incubation.

2. Co-hosting global Web3 events
PROTOCOL and MIZU DAO team will actively co-host online and offline events such as pitches, seminars and conferences for the development of the Web3 ecosystem and co-invest in Web3 projects worldwide.

3. Establishing joint operations in Asia starting with Singapore
Launching a venture capital DAO in Singapore, one of the regions with the most active Web3 entrepreneurs and investors, PROTOCOL and MIZU DAO will establish a base of operations there and be more active in communicating with Web3 builders in real life.
