Chinabank elevates employee experience with digital-first HR solution
Embraces Digital HR Transformation
Chinabank recently partnered with Darwinbox, adopting a digital-first Human Capital Management (HCM) platform to improve employee experience and streamline HR processes for the bank’s over 11,000 employees nationwide.
Leveraging Darwinbox for HR transformation, the bank is set to streamline every phase of the employee journey—from onboarding to retirement. The agreement was signed on December 6, 2024 at the CBC headquarters in Makati City.
Chinabank President and Chief Executive Officer Romeo D. Uyan Jr. noted that CBC is focused on providing the best solutions for both its customers and employees. “Chinabankers are our partners in success, and their happiness and wellbeing matter to us. This collaboration with Darwinbox represents a milestone in our continuous efforts to enhance the employee experience at CBC,” he said.
CBC is calling its new AI-powered HCM solution SyncHROne, pronounced as “Sinkron”, in line with its internal identity program “One Chinabank.”
“We are invigorated by the mission of reshaping people processes across the entire employee lifecycle at CBC, and driven by a desire to help them succeed. It is an honor to work alongside a company with such a storied history. Here’s to a long and fruitful partnership!” Darwinbox Country Manager Sasank Raavi said.
An end-to-end HCM platform, Darwinbox features a mobile-first, open API design, world-class data security, and intuitive interface. CBC can quickly implement and easily integrate it with existing systems, and the bank’s employees can conveniently access it anywhere, anytime on their computers and mobile phones.
“The switch to Darwinbox is one of the ways we are building a high-touch and high-tech bank with frictionless solutions to enable and empower people,” CBC Chief Innovation and Transformation Officer Delfin Jay Sabido IX said.
Named 2023 Employer of the Year by the People Management Association of the Philippines, Chinabank is committed to creating a supportive, engaging, and inclusive workplace. Employees have access to various digital collaboration, productivity, and training tools, including Viva Engage, CHIB GPT, and LinkedIn Learning which the bank dubbed Learning EDGE (Empowered Talents Driving Growth and Excellence).
The new platform, SyncHROne, will serve as CBC’s all-in-one tool for HCM data and HR services, including time and attendance, payroll, performance management, recruitment and onboarding, issue resolution, and employee engagement. The bank is planning a phased implementation starting December 9, 2024.
