Self-boarding eGates now streamline boarding for PAL flights at JFK Terminal 1—no passport or boarding pass needed.

Passengers departing from John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 1 can now enjoy a faster and more convenient boarding experience through the Self Boarding eGate.

This one-step biometric boarding process allows you to board without presenting your passport or boarding pass.

How it works:

1. Approach the eGate – Stand in front of the camera. Ensure your face is visible and well-lit. Remove hats, facemasks, glasses, or any accessories.
2. Facial Capture – The system will scan your facial image.
3. Verification – Your image is securely verified by U.S. Customs & Border Protection. Follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Proceed through the eGate doors.
5. You’re ready to board your flight!

The self-boarding gate is not available for:

• Passengers aged 14 and below
• Passengers under 1.2 meters in height
• Passengers in wheelchairs or requiring special assistance
