VA Ladder Summit 2026 Highlights the Future of Freelancing and Leadership in the Philippines

Manila, Philippines - July 19, 2026 - This vision took center stage during the VA Ladder Summit 2026, held on July 11 at the Department of Trade and Industry's Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) – Global MSME Academy in Pasay City. Carrying the theme "From Freelancer to Industry Leader," the summit brought together aspiring virtual assistants, seasoned freelancers, agency owners, startup founders, employers, educators, government representatives, and technology partners to discuss how Filipino talent can thrive in the future of work.

The summit was presented by Coach Jenny – VA Mom and The VA Ladder Community, with MK Bertulfo, Founder of FHMoms, serving as Summit Curator. The event was co-hosted by The VA Couple (Arnel and Andrea Pios), while Faith Natividad served as moderator, guiding participants through a full day of learning, collaboration, and networking.

Specialized sessions were delivered by Coach Loida of BookWise Growth Clinic on bookkeeping and accounting services, Arnel Natividad on opportunities in the Medical Virtual Assistant industry, Jay-cee Tan on artificial intelligence and automation, Katt Christine and Thara Fajardo on building successful freelance careers, and Felix Concepcion Veroya, who introduced Six Sigma principles and process improvement strategies that enable freelancers to deliver greater value to global clients.

One of the summit's highlights was the panel discussion on future-proofing remote careers featuring Maria Sucgang and Erwin Kok, co-founders of Remotify, moderated by MK Bertulfo. The discussion explored global hiring trends, Employer of Record (EOR) solutions, compliance, international payroll, and how Filipino professionals can remain competitive in an increasingly borderless workforce.
