UnionBank provides guidance on how payments are applied to various credit card transactions, detailing the order of payments and upcoming changes.
To provide you further guidance on how your UnionBank Credit Card payments are applied, please refer to the following sections from the UnionBank Credit Card Terms and Conditions:
For payments made to the following credit cards:
• UnionBank Reserve Visa Infinite
• UnionBank Reserve World Elite Mastercard
• UnionBank Miles+ Visa Signature
• UnionBank Miles+ World Mastercard
• UnionBank Visa Platinum (starting with 453248)
• UnionBank Platinum Mastercard (starting with 552097)
• UnionBank Rewards Visa Platinum
• UnionBank Rewards Platinum Mastercard
• UnionBank Cash Back Visa Platinum
• UnionBank Cash Back Titanium Mastercard
• UnionBank S&R Visa Platinum
• UnionBank Shell Power Visa Gold
• UnionBank Shell Power Visa Platinum
• UnionBank Mercury Drug Visa Gold
• UnionBank Grab Platinum Mastercard
• UnionBank U Platinum Mastercard
• UnionBank U Visa Platinum
The Bank will continue to apply the payment to the Cardholder’s Charges in the following order:
a. All interest charges for the month on: (i) any outstanding Cash Advance transactions; and (ii) any billed unpaid retail transactions; (iii) fees and any other charges; (iv) Monthly Installments Due of outstanding Installment Transactions; and (v) any unpaid Interest charges from the previous month/s;
b. Late Payment Charge and all other fees and charges for the month and any unpaid fees and charges from the previous month/s (i.e. Rejected Payment Fee, Overlimit Fee, Processing Fee, Pre-Termination Fee, Dispute Fee, Annual Membership Fees, etc);
c. Cash Advance, Retail transactions (including PayBill and bills payment transactions), Insurance premiums, monthly principal amount component of the Installment Transactions for the Month, and all other transactions for the month and any unpaid billed transactions from the previous month/s;
For all other UnionBank Credit Cards not mentioned above, the Bank will implement the following changes effective on or before February 28, 2025. Kindly refer to the email we sent last September 4, 2024:
a. Any billed unpaid Monthly Installments Due of the Cardholder’s Installment Transactions;
b. All interest charges for the month on: (i) any outstanding Cash Advance transactions; and (ii) any billed unpaid retail transactions; (iii) fees and any other charges; (iv) Monthly Installments Due of outstanding Installment Transactions; and (v) any unpaid Interest charges from the previous month/s;
c. Late Payment Charge and all other fees and charges for the month and any unpaid fees and charges from the previous month/s (i.e. Rejected Payment Fee, Overlimit Fee, Processing Fee, Pre-Termination Fee, Dispute Fee, Annual Membership Fees, etc);
d. Cash Advance, Retail transactions (including PayBill and bills payment transactions), Insurance premiums, and all other transactions for the month and any unpaid billed transactions from the previous month/s;
