The country’s leading mobility company, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP), has turned over ten (10) Toyota Lite Ace utility vans to the city governments of Santa Rosa and Pasay with the inclusion of a one-year free subscription to digital mobility solutions. These donations will support the local governments in their efforts to become smart cities through connected technology applications in vehicles.
TMP handed over a fleet of five (5) Toyota Lite Ace units to each city as a culmination of the Toyota Community Shuttle (TCS) program. The donated vehicles will be equipped with the ‘myToyota Shuttle PH’ and Fleet Connected Service applications by Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines, Inc. (TMSPH).
The myToyota Shuttle PH is a mobile app for efficient on-demand shuttle management that optimizes route planning and seat booking. The Fleet Connected Service is an automotive GPS tracking system that monitors the vehicle location, condition, as well as driving behavior for a seamless trip planning and management.
To demonstrate the benefits of these new mobility solutions, TMP provided a suite of fully administered system free for almost 14 months, which showed positive results.
Since the start of TCS in December 2023, TMSPH recorded over 10,000 unique users in Santa Rosa City and more than 2,300 unique users in Pasay City, with a total of 102,000 passenger trips for the two cities.
