PLDT and Smart #AmangPH Advisory

Advisory 1: PLDT, Smart personnel and equipment on standby as tropical depression #AmangPH hits Luzon, Visayas

[12 April 2023] As of 11am, Philippine Standard Time, PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have prepositioned mission-critical equipment and personnel, as tropical depression #AmangPH hovers over areas in South Luzon and Visayas.

Fixed and wireless networks of PLDT and Smart remain stable. Generator sets with sufficient fuel are available in areas in the path of #AmangPH. Local teams are also coordinating with key partners to ensure uninterrupted service for customers.

Weather bureau PAGASA has raised Signal #1 over Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Burias Island, Ticao Island, Aurora, and in selected areas of Laguna, Quezon including Polillo Islands, Rizal, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija, where on and off rains and winds of 39-61 km/h are expected within the next 36 hours.

#AmangPH is likely to weaken into a low pressure area tomorrow, PAGASA reports.
