Petron is among PH’s top importers for 2023 according to BOC

Petron was again recognized by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) for being one of the country’s top importers based on its payment of duties and taxes, significantly contributing to the Bureau’s positive collection performance in 2023.

The award was conferred on Petron at BOC’s 122nd Founding Anniversary on February 13. Representatives from Petron’s Supply Division Mr. Jake Magana and Mr. Giancarlo Abellera received the award from DOF Secretary Ralph Recto, Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, Deputy Commissioner Michael Fermin, and Assistant Commissioner Vincent Maronilla.

Petron has been leading the way when it comes to tax compliance. In 2023, Petron was awarded for being the top contributor to the government’s fuel marking program. The company has also consistently ranked among the Philippines’ biggest importers with this latest achievement further cementing its role as a nation-builder.
