“Makara: The Musical” Brings a Dark Myth to Life at Proscenium Theater This June 2026

Manila, Philippines - May 30, 2026 - A haunting legend is set to rise once again as “Makara: The Musical” returns to the stage for another spellbinding run after its initial performances sold out.

Presented by Studio A Productions, the immersive theatrical production invites audiences into a mysterious world where fear, temptation, and myth collide. Inspired by the chilling tale of a woman crowned with living serpents, Makara follows the story of a deadly figure whose gaze can turn the living into stone.

“Can you gaze into her eyes?” the production asks. But audiences are warned: Do not meet her eyes.

Blending dark fantasy with emotionally charged storytelling, Makara: The Musical promises breathtaking stage visuals, powerful vocal performances, and an atmosphere filled with suspense and intrigue. The production explores how fear spreads through a town as whispers of the serpent-crowned woman grow louder, testing courage and awakening an unforgettable legend.

Following two sold-out performances last May 23 and 24, the musical returns due to public demand for a limited engagement this June at the iconic Proscenium Theater in Rockwell Center, Makati City.
