MANILA, Philippines – The Jollibee Group has been honored with the 3G Excellence in Sustainability Reporting Award at the 10th Global Good Governance (3G) Awards, recognizing the group’s commitment to transparency and accountability in communicating its sustainability progress.
The recent win highlighted Jollibee Group’s impactful reporting under its Joy for Tomorrow sustainability agenda — a comprehensive platform that guides the group’s long-term initiatives across the pillars of food, people, and planet.
The prestigious recognition was presented by Cambridge IFA at the 3G Awards, which honors individuals, governments, institutions, and organizations that make governance and sustainability a strategic priority. The awards recognize excellence in three key areas: government and politics, corporate sector, and social sector & philanthropy.
Bringing Joy Through Sustainability and Transparency
“We are honored to accept the 3G Excellence in Sustainability Reporting Award,” said Jose “Pepot” Miñana, Chief Sustainability Officer of the Jollibee Group. “This recognition is a tribute to the collective effort of our teams across the globe who bring our Joy for Tomorrow agenda to life and report our progress with transparency and accountability. It inspires us to keep spreading joy to everyone not only today but also for generations to come.”
Launched in 2022, the Joy for Tomorrow sustainability agenda serves as the Jollibee Group’s global framework for creating long-term positive impact. The agenda focuses on three strategic pillars: Food, which emphasizes safety, quality, nutrition, and transparency; People, which champions employee welfare, farmers’ livelihoods, inclusive community growth, and good corporate governance; and Planet, which targets environmental sustainability through responsible packaging, waste reduction, and efficient use of energy and water. These pillars are supported by 10 focus areas and are carefully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
“We are incredibly proud of the journey we’ve embarked on with our ‘Joy for Tomorrow’ sustainability agenda,” shared Elise Veloso, Assistant Vice President for Sustainability at Jollibee Group. “Being recognized with this award is a meaningful moment for our teams because it reflects the dedication, passion, and collaboration that go into telling our sustainability story with honesty and heart.”
This latest award follows a string of global citations for the Jollibee Group, such as its recent inclusion in the Steward Leadership 25, a listing that honors exemplary organizations advancing purpose and performance. The Jollibee Group also continues to gain international recognition for its business performance and workplace excellence, including a Golden Arrow award from the Institute of Corporate Directors for its Corporate Governance Initiatives, and its inclusion in TIME Magazine’s World’s Best Companies, Fortune Southeast Asia 500, Forbes’ World’s Best Employers and Top Female-Friendly Companies, and as a four-time Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award recipient.
The Jollibee Group’s Joy for Tomorrow agenda is anchored on its purpose to spread joy through superior taste, and to create long-term positive impact. Through rigorous monitoring and transparent disclosures, the company continues to engage stakeholders across its global ecosystem and uphold its responsibility as one of the world’s fastest-growing restaurant companies.
