Phivolcs has raised Alert Level 3 over the Mayon Volcano. Meanwhile, at Taal Volcano, authorities have reported voluminous steam-rich plumes rising to 3,000 meters above the island. Although its alert level remains at 1, there has been a marked increase in sulfur dioxide emissions.

With the heightened unrest of Mayon and Taal, two of the country's most active volcanoes, Globe has readied its teams and network to provide essential communication resources to communities that may be affected.

The digital solutions platform is ready to roll out its Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi services as part of its comprehensive disaster readiness initiative.

The company’s technical and support teams are also on standby to ensure continued operations, with generators ready at strategic facilities to maintain uninterrupted network services.

All these are complemented by Globe’s free data access to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) websites, so as to keep everyone updated with verified information on the volcanoes’ recent activity.

To prepare for any eventuality, Globe also urges residents in affected areas to store essential supplies, prepare emergency kits, and keep their mobile devices fully charged.

As both the Mayon and Taal volcanoes show increasing activity, authorities and local communities have been placed on high alert.

Phivolcs has raised Alert Level 3 over the Mayon Volcano, advising residents within the 6-km radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) to evacuate over volcanic hazards.

Meanwhile, at Taal Volcano, authorities have reported voluminous steam-rich plumes rising to 3,000 meters above the island. Although its alert level remains at 1, there has been a marked increase in sulfur dioxide emissions, and residents near Taal Lake are encouraged to stay updated and vigilant.

As developments continue to unfold, Globe remains steadfast in its commitment to support affected communities and collaborate with government agencies. The company pledges to continue disseminating critical updates and advisories to ensure the public is informed and safe.
