The Philippines’ leading airline Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) ramps up its international network beginning this month by adding more flights to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Nagoya, Seoul, Osaka, and Singapore, following the continuous easing of COVID restrictions for travelers.

Starting June 1, flights from Manila to Bangkok will operate up to five (5) times weekly; to Kuala Lumpur up to three (3) times weekly; to Hanoi up to twice weekly; to Ho Chi Minh up to four (4) times weekly; to Osaka up to three (3) times weekly; while daily flights to Seoul (Incheon) from Manila will be available.

CEB flights to Nagoya, Japan will also increase from four (4) times weekly to five (5) times weekly starting June 29.

CEB also intends to double its Manila – Singapore frequency as it operates twice daily flights starting July 1. Flight 5J 813 departs Manila at 5:35 am, while flight 5J 803 departs at 8:30 pm.

Apart from these, CEB is also set to resume its three (3) times weekly flights to Sydney, Australia in July.

CEB’s first international flight from its Cebu hub, Cebu to Seoul (Incheon), will also resume by July 3, operating twice weekly every Tuesday and Sunday.

“We are happy to continuously see green shoots related to international travel as more countries open their borders, while others such as Bangkok, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam completely dropped pre-departure COVID 19 tests for fully vaccinated individuals. As we anticipate demand to pick up, we will continue to boost our flight frequencies to enable our passengers to fly easy across our network – whether for a vacation or simply to visit family and friends, after such a long time,” said Xander Lao, CEB Chief Commercial Officer.

On May 26, the Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) released Resolution 168 stating that effective May 30, 2022, fully vaccinated individuals who received at least one booster shot are exempted from presenting pre-departure COVID 19 test results for entry to the Philippines.

“We laud the IATF-EID for further simplifying travel requirements for travelers coming into the country. This directive makes it more convenient and more affordable for boosted travelers, both Filipinos and foreigners alike, to come home or rediscover the Philippines,” added Lao.

CEB urges its passengers to check with the authorities of their destination for the latest protocols and requirements. For more information, passengers may refer to CEB Travel reminders page for the latest updates and complete travel guidelines to their destination.

CEB continues to offer its guaranteed low fares to stimulate travel across its network. It continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety, while it operates with a 100% fully vaccinated crew, 91% of whom have been boosted – all to ensure every Juan flies safely and conveniently on Cebu Pacific.
